Naming the Enemy (May 15, 2008)
Jihadists. Islamic fascists. Muslim radicals.
These are the words that the Bush administration has decided to stop using
in describing the enemy. They think that
such language alienates all Muslims and has become too risky and politically
incorrect. Instead, they are urging
officials to use such terms as “violent extremists,” “totalitarian,” and “death
cult” to characterize al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.
Brigitte Gabriel, author of the best seller Because They Hate, thinks this is a very bad move. She states that “The Jihadists are going to
use this as a recruiting tool by proving that Jihad does work to the point that
even America, the super power, is afraid to even mention it by name.”
By any name, the evil of Islamofascism is still the same!
