PA Voters Promote Joan Orie Melvin to Supreme Court PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Joan Orie Melvin has been elected to Pennsylvania's highest court, defeating Democrat Jack Panella in a battle of two Superior Court judges.  Her victory gives the Republicans a 4-3 edge on the Supreme Court, which could prove to be important with any redistricting that occurs following the 2010 Census.

Orie Melvin is pro-life and describes herself as a strict constructionist.   Pray that God will use her in a powerful way as a Supreme Court Justice over the next ten years.
