Conservative Hoffman Loses Close Race in upstate New York PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman has lost to Democrat Bill Owens to represent a Congressional District in upstate New York usually held by the GOP.   Last week, the liberal Republican candidate dropped out of the race when polls showed her in third behind Hoffman and Owens.   Coverage by the Albany Times-Union

Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg was narrowly elected to a third term.
